The federal government’s goal: to integrate sustainabilityand transparencymore into the federal capital investments. The aim is to align the equity investments of four special funds with Germany’s sustainable finance strategy and EU regulations on combating climate change.
In cooperation with Euronext and Moody’s ESG Solutions, imug rating develops the Euronext V.E ESG-World-select75 Bund/SV Index, using its expertise from the translation of international and national standards into an ESG strategy, the selection of suitable ESG data and individual ESG reporting.
With the announcement of Germany’s sustainable finance strategy in spring 2021, the federal government announced to orient the equity investments of its four Special Pension and Care Funds towards EU climate transition indices in the future. The investments will be made in the following special funds:
The Euronext V.E ESG-World-select75 Bund/SV Index takes into account exclusion criteria, a best-in-class approach and the EU requirements to a climate transition benchmark. With the tailor-made ESG index, imug rating once again proves itself as a partner of the public sector in sustainable transformation. imug rating has already been active for the aforementioned Special Pension and Care Funds since 2019 in a predecessor project for the review of equity investments.
